Acting Executive Director
Ali Miller is the Acting Executive Director at FairWays to Leadership, where she leads the design and execution of impactful programming that supports student growth, engagement, and success. With over 18 years of experience in training, leadership development, and youth programming, Ali brings a passion for mentorship and a proven track record of building meaningful educational experiences.
A former collegiate golfer, Ali competed at the NCAA level and went on to coach at both the high school and collegiate levels. Her early experiences on the course shaped her belief in golf as a transformative tool for leadership and personal development—an insight that now guides her work with FWTL students across the country.
Before joining FWTL, Ali held senior roles with First Tee and the PGA TOUR Foundation, where she developed and delivered training for thousands of coaches nationwide and championed inclusive learning environments. Her career has spanned curriculum design, workforce training, and large-scale youth engagement—all rooted in a deep belief in the power of leadership, equity, and opportunity.
At FWTL, Ali supports students throughout their journey in the program and beyond, ensuring each participant feels equipped, connected, and inspired to lead with confidence.
Our Founders
Dr. Eric Boyd is an Associate Professor of Marketing with tenure at the College of Business, University of Central Florida, where he has served since 2018. He also holds the position of Associate Editor in the Marketing Area at the Journal of Business Research, a role he has fulfilled since 2015. His academic work is complemented by Anna Alvarez Boyd, an executive coach with over 30 years of experience as a trusted senior leader in both the private and public sectors. Known for her direct yet empathetic communication style, Anna has developed exceptional skills in bridging disciplines, driving results, and navigating complex business matters. Both Eric and Anna are dedicated to fostering opportunities for women, people of color, and emerging leaders, with Anna emphasizing the importance of a supportive coaching partnership to amplify innate talents and skills.
