Student Experience Coordinator: FairWays to Leadership

Position Summary
The Student Experience Coordinator will lead the development and execution of a professionally impactful experience for FWTL program participants. This role is responsible for cultivating student engagement, fostering leadership development, and managing program activities to ensure students are empowered to expand their potential. The coordinator will also support recruitment efforts, career readiness programming, and the day-to-day operations of the FWTL student experience.
This position serves as a key liaison between students, university partners, and the FWTL leadership team, ensuring the program remains impactful, inclusive, and mission-aligned.
Compensation
Salary: $45,000 annually
Benefits Package: Includes a stipend for health insurance and bonus eligibility
Location: Fully Remote (occasional travel required for program events)
Responsibilities
Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Program Management:
Execution of student workshops, leadership sessions, and networking events.
Collaborate with university partners to support student recruitment, onboarding, and orientation.
Work closely with FWTL Ambassadors to foster student engagement, coordinate peer-led initiatives, and enhance program visibility on campus.
Manage program calendars and ensure timely communication of events and deadlines.
Student Engagement & Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing personalized guidance and resources.
Foster a sense of belonging and safety through regular communication and relationship-building.
Organize virtual and in-person engagement opportunities to strengthen cohort connections.
Career Readiness & Opportunities
Partner with corporate sponsors, university career services, and other stakeholders to connect students with internships and job opportunities.
Plan and deliver career readiness workshops, including resume writing, interview preparation, and professional networking.
Support students in accessing leadership credit opportunities through events like virtual career fairs and industry panels.
Data & Reporting
Track and analyze student participation, engagement metrics, and program outcomes.
Prepare regular reports for leadership, highlighting successes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Operational Support
Assist and support the management of program budgets, expenses, and vendor relationships related to student programming.
Collaborate with the marketing intern to create and distribute student resources, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Contribute to the strategic growth of FWTL by identifying new opportunities for student engagement and program expansion.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Communications, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-3 years of experience in student programming, engagement, operations, or a related field.
Experience delivering impactful programming in a professional setting.
Skills & Abilities
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from all backgrounds.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Mailchimp) and virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom).
Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform program improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a nonprofit or higher education setting.
Knowledge or interest in golf and/or leadership development.
Experience managing budgets and coordinating events.

Work Environment & Travel
This role is fully remote but requires 25% travel for student events and organizational initiatives.
